Memphis Baby Shower

My mom, sister, and good friends Claire and Marti gave me a wonderful baby shower in Memphis while I was in route moving from Norfolk to San Diego.

My sister and mom picked the adorable invitations and provided the yummy food.

Claire and I have known each other since kindergarden!  She did a beautiful job with the flowers and is expecting a little girl at Christmas.

We had so many friends and family shower us with gifts for Cooper and Mackenzie!
Thank you all!!!!!

Norfolk Baby Shower

Our good friends Steve and Lana Obert gave us a baby shower before moving from Norfolk to San Diego.

Mitch's sisters Beth and Susan made a special trip down from Washington, D.C. to help us celebrate!

Dental Girls Shower in Memphis

My sweet girlfriends from Dental School gave me a beautiful shower in Memphis.  (Kristi Golden, Alice Halstead, Ashley Fields, Samaria Mascagni, and Ashley Plummer)

Nicole and her mom showing off her belly at 22 weeks

We found out 3 days before the shower that we were having Girl and Boy Twins!!!

Nicole is 29 weeks pregnant!

This was our first ultrasound at 6.5 weeks.

The first two images are of the two separate embryos, confirming TWINS!

The bottom image shows two black circles that are Cooper and Mackenzie when they were smaller than a grain of rice!

They have grown so much since then and boy do I know it! I am constantly getting kicked and jabbed, but it just means they are happy and active babies :)

Meeting our new OB Dr. Robin Wood

We met our new OB this week, Dr. Wood at Balboa. She was very patient and answered all my questions. We had not received a lot of guidance from Portsmouth since they knew we were transferring care. I basically wanted to know what "the plan" is. She wants me to try and get to 38 weeks, but if I go into labor after 34 weeks, they will let things proceed.
She did an ultrasound and both babies were active, Cooper more than Mackenzie, as usual. Mackenzie is head down and on my left and Cooper is head up and on my right, now I know exactly who is kicking me!
I was relieved to see they were both doing well, especially with all the craziness of moving and unpacking! I had to re-do all my blood work, the hospitals want their own lab work done, so I had that done and scheduled to see her again in 2 weeks!

Nursery

Mitch and I came home yesterday to a box with our nursery rug and crib bedding for Cooper and Mackenzie! I had so much fun putting the crib skirts and bumpers on their cribs! Now we need the crib mattresses, changing table, and chair to arrive!
I hope to post photos soon :)

Nicole is 28 weeks pregnant!

Hello everyone!
I should have started this in January when we started the IVF treatment, but at least I am getting it started before Mackenzie and Cooper arrive!
I hit 28 weeks on Friday, HUGE milestone for viability! We celebrated by working on the nursery and even had the other Pottery Barn Kids crib delievered.
Still waiting on the rest of the furniture and crib bedding to be delivered and then I will post some photos.
I am getting excited that Mackenzie and Cooper will be here in less than 10 weeks!
