Trying Green beans

There is a theme here, Cooper doesn't like vegetables!!!! The last photo is him removing them from his mouth!!! LOL!!!

Trying Squash

Cooper was NOT a fan of squash!!!! He actually doesn't like any of the vegetables, so we mix them with pears and he eats them. Mackenzie doesn't seem to mind the vegetables, but also prefers them with pears. Right now her favorite food is carrots.

First Foods!

After waiting until they were officially 6 months old, we started with rice cereal! One of the nice things about twins is that Mitch and I each get to do something for the first time! I fed Mackenzie her rice cereal and Mitch fed Cooper.
As you can tell by Cooper's face in his photo, he was not a fan! Mackenzie just pushed in around with her tongue, I don't think she swallowed any of it! However, she was very interested in the spoon and did a very good job of getting it to her mouth!

New High Chairs

After asking many women what type of high chairs to purchase, I decided on the Fisher Price space saver chairs and we LOVE them!!! They fit on our dinning room chairs and will later convert to booster seats. The colors and patterns are adorable and very easy to use with just one hand! They also recline for bottle feeding. I'm not trying to convince anyone, but we do love them!
Mitch decided he wanted to make their baby food. SO we went to Mitch's favorite store, William Sonoma and bought a very nice food processor and a couple of baby food books. In the photo he is making squash, but he also made pears, green beans, peas, and carrots! Now I just need to learn how to do it since he won't be around as much now that he is stationed on the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier.

Playing with Each Other

First Food

Cooper and Mackenzie had their 6 month pediatric appointment and they are GREAT! Very healthy babies that now weigh 18.5 pounds and 15.5 pounds! Cooper is still bigger :)
We also ordered them Fisher Price Space Saver high chairs and Mackenzie's came on Friday. Cooper's will be here on Monday.
They had their first solid food, yummy rice cereal! I don't think they liked the consistency because they've had rice cereal in their bottles before.
We also bought a Cuisinart food processor to make their baby food and went to the farmer's market and bought fresh veggies. I guess this means I need to learn how to cook!
I can't believe my babies are 1/2 a year old already, but I am so grateful to have healthy happy babies :)

Visiting with Family

It was great to be able to enjoy a nice vacation in Park City as well as spend time with family. Chris, Margaret, Anna, and Rachel live in Salt Lake City and were a great help to us in getting the things we needed in the condo to care for Cooper and Mackenzie. Anna and Rachel also enjoyed playing with their cousins. I'm sure they will enjoy it even more when they are actually able to interact and play back! They did enjoy the hot tub we had at the condo and were a big help in getting the temperature down by throwing in ice :)

We had a couple of great ski days with Chris, Jim, Anna, and Franci and we look forward to our next trip when we can get Cooper and Mackenzie on skis!

First Snow

Mitch and I took two days off from skiing and spent one day exploring Main Street with Cooper and Mackenzie and the other day alone at the spa :)

We bundled Cooper and Mackenzie in their adorable snow outfits from Aunt Susan and wheeled them up and down Main Street in the Bob stroller. They LOVED it, both falling alseep for a nice afternoon nap.

Hanging out in Park City

We had a great week in Park City, Utah. Mitch and I were able to spend three days skiing with his family and the last day skiing alone. Cooper and Mackenzie adapted fairly well to the new place and schedule. They were a little fussy, but we think it had to do with the altitude change. I had lots of cute clothes for them to wear, but they weren't always in the mood for my photo sessions!

They definitely missed their jungle, exersaucer, and swing from home, so I bought them a jumperoo and they LOVED it!!

First Airplane Ride!

A couple of months ago Mitch and I decided that we would take our first family vacation and visit Mitch's brother Chris and his family in Utah. We knew it would be a challenge with 5.5 month old twins, but when did a challege ever slow us down?

In order to truly make it a vacation, we had our nanny Holly come with us on the trip. She was super excited as it was her first time to see snow!

Our trip began on Saturday February 27th with a flight from San Diego to Salt Lake City. As you can imagine three adults and twins require a lot of luggage! We also shipped a couple of bags with ski stuff as well as supplies for the babies!

Cooper and Mackenzie did an amazing job with no crying!!! They happily drank their bottles, played, and even napped a little. However, they did get fussy on the 45 minute drive from Salt Lake City to Park City and went right to bed when we arrived at the condo.

Future Surgeons!

I brought my Valentine's surgical hat home to wash and our nanny snapped these cute photos of Cooper and Mackenzie! I think they look like naturals :)
